I recently ran across the inspiration for this font on an old Grateful Dead concert poster, circa 1970, illustrated and lettered by Rick Griffin. Not recommended for text use, but makes for some interesting headlines. For the record, rumors of any resemblance I may have to Jerry Garcia have been greatly exaggerated.
