Strange as it may seem, the inspiration for this font came from an offering called Cupola, which I found on a Japanese website. Its source may be modern-day Japan, but a particular element of the font — the swoopy over and under serifs — struck me as pure Otto Heim. I incorporated that charming element into a new font, and here’s the result.
